Dilavato o calce idraulica.
The discovery of mortar that can bind and harden under water, dating
back to the Phoenicians, this technique spread throughout the Mediterranean,
and all people who acquired this technique enriched by new knowledge.
Egyptians, Greeks and Romans have greatly improved the production
technology of lime, choose stones of good quality heated in the oven,
then cooled with water and crushed, mixed with clean sand, was added
at the end powder "pozzolana-powder obtained from crushed volcanic
rocks, from the nearby Pozzuoli, hence the name. The Romans, like
the Greeks and Phoenicians, they know that if volcanic stones crushed
and mixed with lime and sand, creates a mortar that presents not only
mechanical strength characteristic higher than those obtainable with
4 single, but also the property of resisting the action both freshwater
and sea water. The methods of the Romans were revived in France at
time of the great hydraulic works performed in the Palace of Versailles
in the eighteenth century, in particular from Loriot, De la Faye and
especially by Rondelet. Loriot, writes in 1774: Have discovered and
demonstrated the simple procedure used by the Romans, to give the
stability that their buildings still testify with their duration,
the perfect composition of hydraulic mortars used: The DiLavato stucco,
have unique hydraulic characteristic, that associated with the proper
application technique, makes it waterproof and breathable every surface,
and is particularly recommended in the basement, bathrooms, kitchens
where the humidity and more pronounced. The DiLavato after having
been used for centuries in the construction of structures still visible
today, thanks to its unique properties, and been replaced by cement
products, without having the same characteristics and long lasting.
In modern times we have an appreciation of all those natural materials
that have made the past history, including the DiLavato, used in the
BIO BUILDING not only for the insulation characteristics but also
for its versatility in the application, from rustic antique or smooth
polished, with a variant of infinite colors. Homes, public buildings
and malls, restaurants, or a simple wall that you want to embellish
with a touch of charm from the past. By nature, the DiLavato is ECOLOGICAL
product, contains no VOCs gases, not burns, it produces no harmful
flames on contact with flames and is totally recyclable.
DiLavato
o Calce Idraulica
Come i Greci e i Fenici
Loriot, in
