Coccio Pesto
The discovery of hydraulic mortars is commonly attributed to the
Romans, but it seems that the Phoenicians knew about it already in
the tenth century BC. The tanks for drinking water built by King Solomon
in Jerusalem, were protected with hydraulic mortars obtained by mixing
lime with cocciopesto. The Romans used hydraulic mortars mainly in
road construction, bridges, aqueducts, pools, tanks to maintain water, but
also temples and monuments of rare beauty. The mortar of lime and
cocciopesto has been used as coating for floors in rooms with high
humidity, exploiting the high breathability of cocciopesto. This technique,
and knowledge of the materials chosen wisely, to obtain the necessary
qualities with characteristics similar to those used in the past.
In particular its hydraulic characteristics with appropriate treatment
technical manual, which makes it waterproof and breathable, therefore
especially suited to bathrooms and kitchens, and is highly recommended
in the insulation of walls or floors in continuous contact with moisture
very active, especially in basements or restoration of exterior or
interior walls with serious moisture problems. With proper application
and respecting the criteria of implementation, the Cocciopesto solves
all problems of humidity, in offices, shops, and American home, with
a touch of charm from the past. Our cocciopesto and an environmentally
friendly material, contains no harmful gases (VOCs), does not produce
noxious fumes in a fire and it is fully recyclable.

Pesto
In
antico e dall'aspetto caldo.
